The Mary Kendall Independent Living Program (ILP) is for young adults between the ages of 18 – 21 (male or female) who are currently committed to the Department of Community Based Services. The ILP is ideal for youth working on their life goals, needing financial as well as social support, and transitioning to self-sufficiency, yet need a little extra supervision. To be considered, Independent Living must be the primary goal.
Teens learn cooking skills inside a shared apartment.
Services provided by the ILP include:
Apartments in the Daviess county community
Ansel-Casey Independent Living Life Skills Assessment
Individualized service plan
Education and employment skills/requirements
Referral to community agencies (includes health, mental, and spiritual referrals)
Social activities and events
Weekly case management
Aftercare monitoring and support
On call crisis availability
